Exe Kiters AGM
Exe Kiters held an AGM at the Grove on the 5th of October 2009

A small but lively meeting elected a new committee and discussed the numerouse current threats to kitesurfing in and around Exmouth.
Key issues were the work done by the Exmouth Chamber of commerce with the support of Eric and Mike in getting the council to lift the ban on landboarding on the recreation ground. You should see the signs come down soon.
With a little luck, a line of yellow buoys will appear in Duckponds very soon. Kiting is PROHIBITED to the East of these buoys during the October - End of December period. If we do not conform, the sport is likely to be banned.
Also discussed was the very real threat of an effective ban on kiteing on the sea-front. We can prevent this ban by conforming to our own code of conduct. Primarily, keep really well out of the way of vessels moving in the channel.
Loads more was discussed but I've got work to do.
